PIMP THE SITE(FORUM)

Yo fellas lost told me it could be a great idea creating a new topic for this and so i did

We would like to pimp this site make it look better more cool maybe fun whatever........

write your ideas search for good site developers like vector alpha who disappeared mysteriously i played we all hope he returns FORCE WILL BE WIth U m8

anyway... put here your ideas scripts example of nice sites maybe we can steal something from them

I can do some gfx-stuff if you want.. (e.g a new logo)
Perhaps a layout example here /just a suggestion )

I don't really like the header in our forum...but i can't make good suggestion like others can, because i have no ideas about web-layout or how to do it.




Those are the things i dislike most, specially the last 2 "buttons" with the different layout than the others.

The chatbox is also useless in my opinion...anyone ever used it?

The buttons infront of the threads look nearly the same no matter if there are new posts or not.
But i love the Sonic-ones =)

I totally agree with Marc, being clear & consistent is high priority whatever we do, small things like buttons & icons all add up.

On a side note... The clan name... I'm ok with it, but I'm also willing to change it. Is this something that others have thought of?

I really like the first grungy layout, but would it fit for a forum?

About the clan-name:

I am not an anarchist nor am i satanic...so 666 is not how i had named a clan.
But i also don't have a problem with it. Maybe we should make a voting with all 666-members?

Me and Mod! had some ideas for your clan name
[Copyright Mod!:]
- We take the number '666' and covert it in hexadecimal: its '29A' then.
- Now we negate this number (cause we arent that evil, were just the opposite ): Negation would be D65
- Though youre still 666-members: 666 = 29A = !D65
- Now you can convert !D65 in letters... e.g: !DBD like !DarwinBattleDroids or !DST: !DarwinStormTroopers xD

Heres my suggestion then... :
- First of all we take also the number '666' - our task is now to write this number in a different way...
- We do this: 64 = 2^6
-64 6
---2^
-666 gives you through linear combination again 666
- Now we have a different way of writing '666' : just 64_26
- We have to isolate now the "answer of all" () from this number: 66 42
- Now we take potences again: 6^6 and 4^2 = 46656 and 16
- Lets multiply these 2 numbers: 46656 x 16 = 746496
- Finally we can divide this number in three parts: 74|649|6

• 74 = old
  
• 649 = useless
  
• 6 = is bad, when you get back this number in a test. Youre not successfull then. We can write the "not" also as "!"
  

-The name I suggest would be then: [ou!s]
If you dont like [ou!s]: The name comes still from '666', so you dont identfie yourself with the current name, then just write another "!" in front of it:

I've just tried to finish what was already started. I think any major changes should wait until we've decided the clan name status.

Probably a different background now? The grungy stone one was 2MB, not too friendly for a 1st time visitor.

Yeah 2 MB is a big huge for a background

I have some more suggestions about the portal layout, i made a screen and wrote my thoughts into it.

I tried to change which poll was displayed yesterday & failed... I will need to find out more & have a play for a many of those suggestions. If something gets broken over the coming days & weeks it'll be me learning by trial & error...

I think deciding a new clan name is the 1st step, it seems quite obvious what direction the poll is taking already.

It'd be nice to hear your name suggestions too. Feel free to provide sample art based on your suggestions (or others) if you you want to get stuck into photoshop. There's no need yet tho, just if you want to.
