Still getting problems with my 2nd map. Solved the problem with the circular lava pit, got problems with duplicated objects not showing up properly now. Mad

I think I have a case of ideas outweighing skill. Damn, it's only 5% done, may call it a day & leave it @ lost1. What a Face

I wonder how ppl can make good maps in some hours.

I read at the nexuiz ninjas, that they do maps in about 2-8 hours.

Crazy folks...

Btw. I call the map now Impulse, because of the big pillar which is senden impulses into the earth Very Happy

Update:



If u have problems with the cloning-function, u should use importend prefabs.
My cloned Teleport was also f***ed up, the lights of it were rotating all over the map Razz

Now I show u the "dark side" of the map Razz

Its still under heavy construction and i have big problem connecting this part to the main corridor. I hope to finish the map next week. Or to have a least a playable raw Smile

Yes u are right, the map is very grey atm.

I should recolor it a bit and bring it some lights. But no reds, i was thinking of blue ones for a cool atmosphere there.
But first I have to build the rest of the map, there are also no gimmicks inserted yet. I was thinking of barrels and crates or something of that kind.

need to fix some glitches and fill it with live now.

Sadly i am still lacking good ideas for the style of the backrooms+stairway...

I just agree with Brecht, there's a lot of grey. Whether you add coloured lighting, darken some areas, change some textures or break up the existing ones with something, it'd help.

Just trying to add something more than my usual 'looks great' (which it does btw). Wink

yup I get that very well, I admit I was pissed as hell cuz of time needed to do something right, so I made small map (the second one) maybe bit too small but it could be really a slaughterhouse for few ppl, and with about 10 plyers there, ohhhh lolers bloody bath Twisted Evil

I just had an idea:

I will recolor every height-level of the map in another maintheme. If it lloks good I will up some new pics soon Smile

Hope to get a look that looks consistent in itself
