We can use 16+8 formula if number of waiters will be 8..16.
In 8 - top players and in 16 - others. Then after firt round 8 of 16 adding for top 8.

Some things which are left to say:

If you guys have personal issues with an other player - please - keep that away from the tournament!

Unfairness (insults) in the match/es & afterwards a match will cause a kick from the tournament.

[ Rules ] [ non-nml. ]:

I decided to make a way more easier rulesystem than the system in the NML. It's a simple K.O. system.
*The players are going to be selected by a Generator which Bommel made. It's a simple Program which searches numbers between 1 and 16 - The startnumbers are listed above. I'll generate numbers with it and I'll post them here. I will post the generator here if all slots are filled - That's the best and the fairest way to do that!
*first round: 16 Players - 8 lose - 8 drop out
second round: 8 Players - 4 lose - 4 drop out
third round: 4 players - 2 lose - 2 drop out
final: 2 players - 1 loses - 1 drops out
*Server settings wont be the NML server settings. It'll be the PK server settings.
*Scorelimit: 30 - Timelimit: 20 minutes
*Map selection - For more fairness I decided to use 6 Random maps - No one will be able to chose a map - The dicesystem will do this.
(example: If you know that your enemy is really bad on Evilspace - You will probably take Evilspace. - The dicesystem is way more fair.)
(The 6 Standardmaps are going to be: Farewell;Final_Rage; Soylent; Evilspace; Basement; Warfare - I used the maps where the most players play on!)
*If player 1 wins one match and player 2 wins one match there's going to be played a third match.
*If player 1 wins both matches then there's no third match going to be played.
*Referee will be Die Happy <(Prophets)> - He doesn't play in the tournament and he is the incarnate fairness.

I have a suggestion...
You could do the first round like a cup... So that the first round is 3 players who all plays each other... Then the person with most wins move on to the second round.... After that we switch to ladder/KO system...

I disagree.
This should be a 1on1 tournament not dm.

No that's not how i ment... Still 1on1 ...
Example:

XV22
Nesquick
Lucy
Is all players in the same first round....

First
1, XV22 vs Nesquick

XV22 wins

2, XV22(the winner in the first round) vs Lucy

Lucy wins. (If XV22 would have won he would have moved on in the tournament).

3, Nesquick vs Lucy(the winner in the second round)

If Lucy wins she moves on. If Nesquick wins we do it all over again until one of the players have won against both the others.

Sure it may be a bit tricky to figure out at first but this way all gets to play...

One last thing... After reading this through i realize I'm terrible at explaining.... But if somebody understands at all what i mean please write a better example....

yeah, I understand now.
I think this makes the tournament fairer, but it will take longer time. If the server can afford all the time needed then it will be better to do what u said.

Much longer. Let's stay realistic, this tournement will be *huge* either way. And let's not forget we'll be lucky if two thirds of all players signing in here will even show up, so I suggest to keep things simple and fast.

Just a small idea: please replace Farewell with Farewell Laserfun, I'm sure most of us will agree that Laserfun is much nicer to play.

At least we got 2 maps for the spacelovers (and hook-users)

The suggestion of Anton (Painkiller) to use a 12+8 playersystem isn.t really fair, because the group of 8 players have to play 3 matches - the group of 12 players only 2 matches - till add up .... confused

Best for all we find 32 players to make a fair and nice tournament - we have nearly 3 weeks left to find some .... Twisted Evil
