Hopefully sex grabbed your attention, arguably sex usually does.. I'm not actually offering sex, but the thing said the topic title must be over 10 characters so I had to come up with something clever. Otherwice the title would just have been Sex.

Now that I have your attention, hi, my name is Antero, I come from Finland and I like instagib, which is very often my favorite gametype in shooter games. From all the shooters I've played instagib in, Nexuiz and it's special instagib starting with M, happens to be my favorite. Honorable second place goes to Quake Live. Now, Xonotic is actually very equivalent to Nexuiz, therefor also could be the number one favorite, but there are times when it just doesn't feel as it should, as I've been used to in Nexuiz. I also have some awful performance issues which in Nexuiz's case would just have worked fine, which makes me doubt the shared first position continuously.

I've made a clan of my own, it's called 'Lovers' and it's origin comes from the early times of Quake Series, when our clan was still called 'Wankers'. We like drinking, laughing and gaming at the same time, which most of the time makes our feeble brains cut short on tactics, we for instance could end up camping and making a lot of fast-paced people upset. Now, this has nothing to do with me being here, I don't do drinking, laughing, gaming AND instagib on top of it at the same time. I'm currently the only one from Lovers playing Xonotic/Nexuiz, why do I have the clan tag on? Well..Just fucking because.

Now sorry guys, time to lay down the opium. Anyway, I've been playing Nexuiz for 2 years, mostly Minstagib, especially 1v1. Not so much DM or CTF, but when theres nothing else then why the hell not. How good am I? Well, I'm definitely better in Nexuiz than Xonotic. Mainly because of the performance issues. I do get lots of people to ragequit in both games however and some call me an aimbotter, but never do I have felt too good, there's plenty of people better than me obviously and it always brings a tiny sparkle on my crotch when somebody comes and breaks my winning streak. Keep doing that for a while and my crotch will soak like a sprinkler. And while that keeps on, you guys should keep your servers up, because they're fucking awesome. I'll be seeing you guys in your servers, lol. Both in Nexuiz and Xonotic. Feel free to leave a note incase we have already met.

well...this is what happens to me all the time. damn provider and damn flatmates who are blocking my connection

i don't think that problem is a question of connection but of geometry. unlike in other shooters the crosshair in nexuiz and xonotic indicates, where the shot would hit at an infinite distance. for finite distances it is just an approximation

Well the connection was the problem that made me quit to begin with, but yes you're right about the issue. I'm used to have my shots go exactly where the crosshair is pointing at, not nearby walls just because it's 'geometrically correct'. It's irritating and most people at Xonotic forums seems to prefer it this way, it's beyond me and my personal tastes.
