These are the ones that come to mind.

I nothing from Alienware! or from WindowsBlinds!

Custom OS Stuff!

So far I've came across

Vista - Windows
OS Desktops / Most Artistic My-vista-20070203

Gentoo - Linux
OS Desktops / Most Artistic Gentoo26001_01_thumb

Mandriva - Linux
OS Desktops / Most Artistic MandrivaLinux_1

XP - Windows
OS Desktops / Most Artistic Winxppro

OSX - Apple

Okay the Nexuiz folder is a give away at being mine. I'd say the 3 better looking ones are Mandriva, OSX and Vista.

Personal favorite being OSX.

I know Gentoo is pretty customizable but it's about standard art straight out of the box Razz

I prefer the ones with no standard DE or art OTB. I just want a bash login & a good package manager, then I get what I want, not what someone thinks I want.

& LOL, that isn't OSX, it's MS
What a Face

What mine looked like before I popped the lid off the old C2D: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2081/2302242412_538221a09d_o.jpg

Using openbox now, not quite as pretty, but as fast as a fast thing going very fast Wink

PS. Removing the IHS from a Core2 really does reduce it's operating temperature, mainly because it now runs at 0MHz. Good justification for an upgrade tho Twisted Evil

PPS. Sorry, completely off topic I guess... I'm really bored at work (& only just started) Sad

Two communities that have made a good effort with KDE at least are Arch & openSUSE:

It's part OSX but It's generally the best I can do to get a screenshot! Razz

OSX hates my pc.! But it looks like OSX so we can just say it is Razz
I could have fooled you but! I need MAHHH ICONS!

Ignore the icons Razz It's the prettiest one!

I have to admit though

http://kdemod.ath.cx/screenshots.html That is pretty damn attractive Only if they would do some cross over, the ease to use like ubuntu and the cuteness of that. Installs are so much easier on the buntu series.

xp isnt bad looking Smile Vista is visually perfect but it's a deathtrap. OSX is unix based. so it's technically linux, just way easier to use.

OSX may be UNIX-compliant, but it's certainly no Linux. It's based upon Darwin, which is (afaik) derived from BSD & Nextstep. Razz

Anyhow, If you like the look of OSX, take almost any Linux distro & try this: http://www.taimila.com/?q=node/11 Wink
