I need help with IRC............

When i strated nexuiz i have heard of this thing called IRC.......I know what it stands for.......but what i dont know is:

Where to download it for free

How to use it?

I have heard of sometihing called IRC channels... i need information about that.....

also if u can list a couple of IRC channels and tell me how to join them

I am kinda new to the game(only been playing for 2 months)...

irc is to speak to each other and to play trivia

irc.quakenet.org is the channel and #nexuiz is the room where u can speak to the nexuiz most known players developers and so on

it's not that i know where u can find it and i'm not gonna search but if u use mac os x... well than i'll change my mind

but don't think that u'll speak to a lot of players on the #nexuiz room cuz those guys never talk if u don't know them... they are reserved to them-self

so ur lucky if u have mac , other way one of my mates here could help u with it

Here you can find some channels.
The best (free!) IRC-client I know is pidgin.
It runs on Linux, [Censored]OS and Mac OSX (that crappy OS painless uses ).
