| Well there's hardly any difference at your side. I can run Nexuiz at ultra +180 fps and Xonotic jumps between 10-40 fps on any graphical settings. There's something wrong with Xonotic by default. It's simply said, revolting. | |

| hm Antero dunno what.s wrong from your site ....  For me Xonotic works better than Nexuiz  on my side running linux with nvidia driver & xonotic-linux64-sdl very well  Maybe you start the wrong server sdl/glx  GreetZ Su | |

which value has Settings \ Misc \ Framerate - Maximum and Target.
Did you try to change those values, maybe there is a mistake ?
At the moment Nexuiz is running much more better on my system too, especially with the resolution.
And the movement.
And aiming.
And the sound, detecting where the other guy is walking.
And it is too colorful.
But they work on it.

| Currently I have Max- Unlimited and target 200. I have tried different combos for this as well and I did not see any (helpful) difference. Ofcourse I don't have any clue what this setting does or what the values should be, so do say if you have a solution. - DieHappy wrote:

I've noticed this as well, even if I get to enjoy a stable fps match in Xonotic it doesn't feel as direct and smooth as Nexuiz. | |

. The only thing i know is : if Framerate - Maximum "cl_maxfps" is set to 40 yo only get 40fps in game. So, i don't have a solution. | |
