| Looks still good, also with lower polycount.
Will u glue bumpmaps on it to get a look like the full-poly model?
I am just talking crap i guess....gesundes Halbwissen lol (i read about it in a magazine)^^ | |

| Nein, ist gar nicht mal so Halbwissen - eher sieben/achtel Wissen The reasons why theres a high-poly model: 1)its a 3D sketch. modeling without that the low-poly will cause uncontollable blazes of anger (@ me, not @ the model ) 2)For makjng this mysterious bumpmap (in fact its called normalmap - doesnt mind). Blender has the ability of "saving" the details in an image. And I'll just map this image then on the lowpoly for a smoother look. Hope that helped! @Banshee: closer look? I'll post a .blend for you then... (tomorrow or friday - damn, &$ยง&%%! school) | |

| That looks nicer than the 5k tris. Is it now wearing one of these normalmap thingies? What were you trying to get it down to, 3k? Animation soon then? (I imagine that's a cool part) | |

| Oh, thank you my favourite Vector (you're still the favourite ) - Welcome Back! @lost: No, no normalmaps yet, what you see is just the autosmoothing (Normal-interpolation for the ones who knows what Im talking about ) Thats the thing what e.g makes your Nex-weapon so smooth. And the "look" is also smoother. I think I can get down to 3500 tris, what is quite fine (500 more than normal - doesnt care) | |

| Update: I have another .blend-file for you So do (if you didnt already) : (perhaps you have to rename the file to the ending ".blend" - the upload messed something up )
- Download blender and install it.
- Download my file and save it.
- Start Blender -> You'll get the Standard Startscreen: a cube.
- Press F1 -> A OpenFile Window apperars -> navigate to the place where you saved my .blend and select it with RMB. -> Click the OpenFile in the right upper corner.
- You'll see the droid -> Press SHIFT + F to fly a bit around,
You should see also a brush as a cursor and a colorpicker somewhere. Feel free to paint a bit
Tell me if there are no texture on it - that happens... And: NO to flip-flops

| You'll find a new .blend in the link above... This one has already a skeleton applied to the model - You can select one of these "bones" and rotate them | |

| Took me 10 seconds to make a handicapped robot from your work^^ Now he's crippled, but in original it's looks good =) Why is it purple now, without textures? Toying around with the bones is great fun | |
