Our favourite frog, van BOMMEL has taken the task of texturing my model. My texturing attempts were so bad it wasn't even funny. Not wanting to produce something crap, it may have been left in limbo for some time if it weren't for this collaboration.

HERE is a tiny update. I did the ToDo's lost mentioned in his PM and a bit more.

Not yet satisfied with the "player-nex", the ones on the bottom are looking good already.

I changed the glow a little & added shirt/pants colours:



I also added a custom beam that should be a little bolder than before & if you're running 2.5 you'll notice less light-splash on impact.

I'd consider it a release candidate for now, so let us know if there's any issues or if there's anything that's just GOTTA be changed.

How works the installation of the new model ?
Unzip to the \Nexuiz - folder ? How to make a backup?

You don't need to make a backup. Just delete the files you added to get the old one back.

And yeah, just unzip it to the place where you're config.cfg is located


P.S: I knew there was sth I wanted to do with the Emit map ....

DH, no unzip required, just place the downloaded pk3 in your data dir. This way your nexuiz installation wont change, it will just load the new data once everything else has already loaded.

@lost: You will need to pack also the files for 2.4.2. It's currently only displayed in 2.5...

Edit: modelsource doesn't fit anymore: Here's the new one: http://omploader.org/vMjVidw/Lostguns.blend (That one contains the right scalings for the export)

Yea m8, the thing that it's not showing at 2.4.2 make me crazy when I was trying to install it for really long time at our server

I even can't imagine how it's hard to make it, so thank you very very much Lost!

P.S. I still think that it will look better with little zoom on it

And If I were you I would make this model as at "Die Tunichtguten" CTF... it's not depends on which model you have(basic or lost's one), all who come there will get their model.
I think it would be good that all players at our servers will play with lost's model.
