Uploaded a stripped down version to our main server now. It'll come down just like a map for anyone without either that or the full version.

You can remove any previous versions, tho this'll override them if you're not bothered or can't find it.

The full final version can be found here: http://omploader.org/vMjVubQ/prophets_growlernex_v1.pk3 & has these additional features over what's on the server:

- Replaces the nex, minstanex, beam & effects on all servers
- Full quality tga textures
- Contains the model source.

had to dl it manually, somehow it didnt dl automatically (same goes for q1 maps, I assume theyre q1 - map names are the same). dunno why such situation occured, but it seems that automatic dl didnt work scratch I was on 2.5.1 and didnt run any other version to check if it works ok. is the problem on my side or not Question scratch

I don't think they implemented it there. It's just clientside, my standard nex looks like Lost's as well on every deathmatch server.

I can't remember exactly what didn't work, I do remember models falling through the floor... Rolling Eyes

I hoped to get back into Nex & Blender over Christmas, kinda got a bit lost along the way tho. Wink

If the model is falling through floors/walls/whatever or it turns around in a huge circle, then you probably didn't center it correctly.
You have to move the object to (0|0|0) an set the object center to the trigger with Centre Cursor.

P.S. Trying Arch Linux right now on an old machine... (I'm pleased Very Happy)

The growlernex with different sounds and hook as a chain with clank of chain sound.

cheers I love this nex .. wonderful work. But there is just one little problem: I don't see the nex beam. Does this happen to anybody else here? scratch Nonetheless, it's lovely, especially because it's slim. The default minstanex is .. pale

You cannot be serious .. a squeeking soundeffect for the nexgun? Imagine that on a small map with 10 players .. it will drive you nuts!

Besides that, the laser sound is better than the original, the hook is real neat and the model..i dont use a weapon model.

edit: Would it be possible to have a soundeffect triggered, as soon as the "g_balance_nex_refire" value of the server is through? Would be helpful for different rates.

it isn.t that easy to create a model (gun or player model) for xonotic as it is for nexuiz ... Sad Razz

A big help in this way was qbit (from eXile Clan) for me Very Happy

Maybe you should try to contact him in his forum or you looking for help on xonotic forum in this case ... Twisted Evil

Cause, modelling inst the problem. But i dont know, how to make the md3 and define, where the hands shoud be...
