Idea of DM tournament

Hello my Nexuiz friends!
I want to know oppnion about my idea from all players here.
I've talked with many players and they are sad because NML don't have DM tournament.
So I offer you to have fun unofficial DM tournament for all players.I guess it will be hard to organise it but many players whould enjoy it.
I think that we can make groups of players (for exaple 8 in each) and 2 best players on random map will go to the next round.

P.S. If you will be interested I also can help with organisation.

well it's a nice idea but in 8 it might be better if 3 pass the first 3

But there is a problem.
I am never under the first two or three, so i think the four best should go to next round.

@ Painless. About rules and way of passing to next round it's only a demo vesion I guess we will have much more better ideas about this.

Just to clarify, DM as in FFA minsta, not all weapons?

It sounds fun, more a way to promote activity than competition.

i read DM. you mean 1v1 tournament with all weapons or what do u mean exactly?

it's not 1on1 crazy

it's DM 8 or 10 players in a game
2 random maps and the first 3 players pass to the next round

this should be the idea

In my oppinion 10 players in each is too much. It's better to make more groups.

But I don't know how to share players in groups... can we use a system which Thalan used for 1on1 tournament?

And one more question...which server and which version?
In my oppinion we can use our 2.4.2 DM server for it, if you are not against of it m8s...

make a program who chooses randomly 8 numbers or 10 and give to each player a number

24 players, 6 per match, top 3 move on, double elimination.

In my oppinion all is very cool! I like Lost's idea. but what is double elimination?

Hopefully the updated image above explains that now. Basically, you have to come in the lower half twice before you're out.
