Nexuiz Minsta League

Hey comrades =)

A Player named Thalan mentioned today he would organize a league for Nexuiz Minstagib, which would be sponsored from Razer (producer of Brechts weapon).
Painless an I talked to him and in the end I gave him our web-adresse and said I would open a thread to get the feedback from u =)

Before the real league starts a tournament would be set to see how popular it would became.
If it's a success Razer would eventually sponsor a whole league.

There will be 32 slots for player.

Every game mode will be played as minstagib

Modes will be:

1on1 DM - Minsta Kickout system

3 on 3 CTF Minsta

and maybe 5 on 5 ctf minsta if there are enough persons available

Maybe Villains could help us out if we don't have enough persons?



So now the question:

Who is interested to take part at it?

I'm useless @ CTF tho, I shoot anything that moves, you've probably seen me trying to frag dropped weapons that come flying off jump-pads... It used to be worse before I disabled gibs, I'd frag someone then have a go @ their bouncy bits...

I can't play ctf too...totally desorientated anywhere and no knowledge about any map. I struggl e already when there are "good" ppl and "bad" ppl... also called teams

1on1 Minsta DM...thats what we are good at =)

I'm interested in the team games.

The problem with the solo games is certain people know they can't possibly win it.

So I'm unsure of how much of a success that will be.

I think everyone knows which "skill"-level he has.
But in a shoot out u have at least the chance that there will be someone who kicks out those ppl u can't handle with.

A cool form for a torunament would be just normal deathmatch.
3 groups á 12 players and after that u count the frags together. Then kick the last 12 and do the same wich 2 groups...and so on

I am unsure if i should participate at all. Tournaments are stress for me...i don't like to be stressed and not the pressure when u have to win :/

I have to be in a good mood for playing, if not I get my ass whipped. Like this weekend
Team games?oh man, hard for me, I shoot everything that moves (hahah that was a laugh but just for me, when I played q3a in teams with friendly fire... ), and same as Growl, I dont know any maps @ ctf.
maybe I will give it a try, gonna think about it for a while.

I would take part there cause somehow I like tournaments, though I just want to have some fun.
I play for the same reasons at TableTennis Tournaments - just cause playing is fun.
But I dont know if I take part, got much to do in the last time...

I don't even look at multiplayer rpgs anymore...they are real time-suckers

Okay people, after I've been asked about some details of the tournament and the league, I decided to post it exclusively to your forum. The Website of the Nexuiz Minsta League will be avaible soon, check minsta.net some times in the next few days.
To the tournament:
It will be played as a 1on1 Minsta DM with Hook, Laser and 10 starting ammo. The maps are not decided yet, so feel free to post some suggestions here. 32 participants will have the possibilty to play at the tournament, the player of the matches will be in an equal playing level, I have produced a system for that over the years. If more than 32 people register, they will be randomly choosen, if less register, the spots will be filled by bots. All matches until the half finals will be played with the two players and one spectator - the referee who takes care that everything is running correct (I need 2 more of them, please let me know if you do not want to participate at the tournament but help at it as a referee). Only two matches run at the same time From the half finals on, there will be around 6 spectator slots and the slot for the referee. There will be a preventing system that noone expect the real players are able to join the 1on1. Only one game at the same time then. The winner of the whole tournament will get a prize of various Razer-Equipment, shipping to EU-states inclusive, contact me if you are from a non-EU-country. If the level of the tournament is high enough for Razer, they are going to sponsor the Nexuiz Minsta League, else a friend of mine will. I will let you know more when the website is finished and online, please be patient and feel free to ask me if you have any questions.

Hm For the referee thing you'll need people of good nature and will.

Also they should get something for doing such a heavy job if they did do it.

I'll do it. =) Plus I kinda worked out I only want to play alongside my team anyway

and I'll do it for absolutely nothing!

Thank you for posting & welcome to our forum. I'm certainly relieved to notice the absence of CTF.

Maps? Aggressor, Farewell, Soylent & Warfare would come high on my list. Would there be a map-list vote or are you going to pick the most suitable based on peoples preferences?

I'm certainly up for it & I'll help out in whatever way I can.

PS. Maybe 2nd & 3rd place goodies too, then Pat, Xone & SinJin are all catered for.

PPS. Feo, you'd make a good ref, you'd spot something even remotely suspicious.

I can only advice u to take her for that position, she is one of the routiniers at nexuiz.

I don't like darkzone, because of the many teleports there and the instant kill of the nex u often spawn with your back to the enemy -.-

And is there a limit of players a clan can send to the tourney?

No, the tournament will have nothing to do with clans, you can send as many players as you want. Thank you for the maps! I will decide the ones for the tournament and there will be a poll for the maps in the league. And thanks Aureilia for your engagement I will talk to Razer whether they are giving some more things for 2nd, 3rd and referees, but finally I do not think they will.
