nexuiz video

You can't be running either the official release or SVN if you don't have that file.

As Nexuiz crashed when you attempted to play a demo through the Nex console, I'd strongly recommend you get the proper release:

Just save your maps and your config somewhere and copy it back after reinstalling ?

It wont overwrite/loose anything.

Your config & any cached maps should be under ~/.nexuiz/data/

Anyhoo, it's self contained, you can run both versions. I have SVN & 2.4.2 for example, you don't install it...

Just extract the .zip which you downloaded, ensuring that you keep the directory structure.

Then,

Should return something like:

Providing it returned a single path, copy & past this:

${LOC} -demo +playdemo demos/demo1.dem

That should play the default demo. To play any other demo, put it within ~/.nexuiz/data/demos/ & use its name instead of 'demo1.dem'.

m8 it works the demos i can see them wow anyway i will record my deesktop with my program so i can have them in HD

now how can i see the console without joining a server?

To open a console whilst not playing, ie in the menu, press 'shift+esc'

Did i mention that its unpossible to play while uploading such a big file?

How big will your video become with 5 minutes+ credits?

Hehe, uploading was indeed a killer.

Size for 5 mins? Up to 100MB for 480p & up to 300MB for 720p I'd guess... Depends what quality he's after & any postprocessing...

So yeah, it'll take some time to upload.

Should be worth it tho, I can't wait.

U copied he demo file in your demo-file-directory?
it should be the same command then, nexuiz doesn't make a difference between your own dmos and ones from other ppl
